After our trip to the Sequoia National Park it has become evident that we need a few things. Most importantly a little stove and some cookware. While we could just run out to most any store and get a camp stove, I would rather have something that will serve two purposes. 
Most of our camping together will be done out of the car, but I do want to do some backpacking. As such, I would like any equipment that we buy to work well enough that it serves our purposes while camping from the car, but also small and light enough that I wouldn’t mind hauling a few miles on a trail. To that end, Jeff has suggested the Snow Peak Giga Power Stove (non-Titanium).
