Architecture: The Gamble House

Posted by – September 29, 2006

As is often the case in my life, I am confused. I like so many wonderful and varied things that it is sometimes difficult for me to formulate an opinion. One area where I think I need to work on this problem is that of architecture. I really do enjoy most styles of architecture, but certain styles do excite me more than others. This really isn’t my fault, after all there are far too many styles to choose just one that I like best.

In order to explore this further I have decided to search the interweb for pictures of houses that I really like and post them here, on everyday.

Gamble House

The Gamble House [official site] is a very nice, if not a little extravagant, example of the “American Arts and Crafts” or “Craftsman” style. It was designed in 1908 by the architectural firm Greene & Greene.
