What happened to Christmas?

Posted by – December 21, 2005

Have you noticed that in almost every advertisement heard on the radio or see on TV, Christmas has been replaced with “Holiday”. I really do not care one way or the other, but I do wonder if completely changing a popular traditional phrase in an effort to be politically correct really makes any Muslims, Buddhists, Atheists, etc… feel better. I think that if I were in one of the above groups I would be angry that out of all the possible social changes that could be made, this is what changed. I find it really hard to believe that anyone is truly upset by hearing “Merry Christmas”. I certainly wouldn’t be upset if a Jew wished me a “Happy Rosh Hashanah”. So if I don’t see you prior to the 25th of December, Merry Christmas!
