Jeff & Penni at the top of the world
Jeff & Penni, of …Because it’s never too late to jump on the bandwagon, trekked to the top of the world over Labor Day. Well, it wasn’t actually the top, but it was about as close as you can get in the contiguous United States. They made it to 13,600 feet, Mt. Whitney is around 14,500 feet, a mere 900 foot difference (1 football field).
They have posted some amazing pictures chronicling their trek here. I have never attempted anything close to what they achieve on a fairly regular basis, but I know from my meager experience that it is damned hard work.
